#12hppofxmas Day 9

Alas, my friends, after procrastinating way too much earlier in the holiday, I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to meet my 1200 page goal this year. Tomorrow evening my sister arrives, and will be visiting for the remainder of the 12hppofxmas, and my reading time will be significantly curtailed. Argh! This isn't a surprise, of course, but I failed to prepare for this eventuality.

This is ok, of course. My success rate for the first four #12hppofxmas is 50%. And I think that this is the first year that I don't have a single graphic novel in the mix, and those are always a huge boost.

So, whatever.

I finished Winesburg, Ohio and started on my next List book, which is The 42nd Parallel (first of the USA trilogy) by John Dos Passos). Fortunately for me, I got the hardcopy from the library and am therefore counting those pages in my total. The book hasn't grabbed me yet.

I'm also reading Jo's Boys, the third in the Little Women trilogy, and for the life of me I can't remember if I've ever read this book before.

We'll see what kind of progress I make today and tomorrow (and Friday, Saturday, Sunday!).
