Happy Easter everyone!
My apologies for how long it's been since the last post. I was originally going to briefly discuss religion vs. secularism here, but I've decided that I don't really have the time or energy right now to give that topic the attention it deserves, so maybe I'll save it for Christmas instead.
On that note, I'll just tell you what I've been doing up to now instead of (well, in addition to, obviously) reading the books I'm supposed to be reading. As usual, if you pay attention to my blatherings on Twitter, you'll know a lot of this already.
First: I finally finished Uncharted 2 this weekend! I also finally finished the bulk of my costume for this year's con of choice. I spent a lot of evenings puzzling through really confusing patterns instructions (well, confusing for my extremely amateur skill level) and the final result actually doesn't look half bad. I listen to podcasts while crafting, mostly In Our Time, although I'd be happy to get suggestions of others. Anyway, now that that's done I kind of want to make myself something else...
Being Human UK is on Netflix right now, and I decided to give it a shot one night because The X-Files is almost unbearably boring in its last two seasons and I needed a break and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I'm almost done the third season right now.
Speaking of The X-Files I am TWO EPISODES FROM THE END. It's not as exciting as if there was an actual, you know, coherent overarching plot, but it's been a good run. I don't understand it now, but when I was younger I couldn't tell the difference between Nicholas Lea and Adam Baldwin.
